Dr William Portuese
Dr. William A. Portuese is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery. He is the current president of the Washington State Chapter of Facial Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Portuese is a Clinical Instructor in both the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Washington and is the author of numerous publications in his field. He has been in private practice in Seattle for over 20 years.
Dr. Portuese specializes in plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck; this includes all aspects of Facial Plastic Surgery including facelifts, blepharoplasty (eyelids), forehead (brow lifts), rhinoplasty (nose), neck lift/liposuction, and otoplasty (ears).
Dr. Portuese’s experience in facial plastic surgery is extensive. He completed his surgical internship and residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. After his residency, Dr. Portuese completed a one year fellowship in Beverly Hills, with Dr. Frank Kamer, an internationally renowned facial plastic surgeon.

While in Beverly Hills, Dr. Portuese learned the most recent advances in facial cosmetic surgery including tissue adhesive techniques, which require no sutures, lower eyelid surgery without external incisions, and nasal surgery with all of the incisions made internally.
Dr. Portuese is a resident of Seattle, Washington. The natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest is a perfect fit for him. He has a deep appreciation for the balance and harmony of nature and devotes much of his personal time to his family; and when time allows he enjoys fishing, water skiing, hiking and visits to the numerous slopes surrounding Seattle to snow ski.
